What does Scrubbr do with Gmail?
It reads your messages, ranks the ones that need you today, summarizes them, and drafts replies for you to approve. Nothing is sent until you act.
Ranks your messages into priority tiers, so the few that need you come first.
Summarizes messages and drafts replies in your voice. Each draft waits for your approval.
Saves its drafts to your Gmail drafts folder, and sends an approved reply as you.
Applies its own labels in Gmail. They affect only your own account.
Archives and marks messages read on your behalf.
Adds your real Gmail signature to what it sends, and replies from the alias a thread arrived at.
What does Scrubbr read from Gmail, and what does it never do?
What Scrubbr reads
Message metadata: sender, recipient, subject, timestamps and labels.
Message body content, used for prioritization, summarization and drafting.
Your Gmail send identities, signatures and vacation responder status. Read-only.
For attachments, only the filename, type and size.
Profile photo links for people you have emailed but not saved as contacts, so avatars show next to messages. No image files reach Scrubbr's servers.
What Scrubbr never does
Nothing is sent to another person without your explicit action: a click, or a voice command you confirm.
Never permanently deletes your messages.
Never changes your Gmail settings. Scrubbr only reads them.
Never stores attachment content, and never sends it to an AI model. When you open an attachment, Scrubbr fetches it from Gmail and hands it straight to your browser. The one exception is small images embedded in an email's body, which are stored as part of that message.
Never trains AI models on your content, and never sells your personal information.
Never lets staff read your messages without your approval, except to act on a security incident or a legal obligation.
No. Your email still lives in Gmail. Scrubbr.ai is the calm front door, and when you want to dig into a thread in Gmail, one click takes you there.
Can Scrubbr send Gmail without asking me?
No. Nothing is sent to another person without your explicit action: a click, or a voice command you confirm. Some actions that affect only your own account happen automatically or on a single voice request. For example, Scrubbr applies its own labels in Gmail, and the voice assistant can mark messages read when you ask.
What does Scrubbr read in my Gmail?
Message metadata (sender, recipient, subject, timestamps, labels) and message body content. For attachments it records only the filename, type and size.
Does Scrubbr delete or change my Gmail?
Scrubbr never permanently deletes messages. It archives and marks messages read on your behalf, saves AI drafts to your Gmail drafts folder, and applies its own labels. It reads your Gmail settings but does not change them.
Has Scrubbr's Gmail access been security-reviewed?
Scrubbr has completed Google's CASA Tier 2 security assessment for restricted Gmail scopes. The assessor's Letter of Validation was issued in August 2026. Scrubbr is not yet SOC 2-attested. A SOC 2 Type I audit is engaged with TAC Security. See the Security page for details.
