Terms of service

1. The service

Scrubbr.ai is a unified inbox for Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, and Slack. It reads from connected accounts to prioritize, summarize, and draft responses, and to write back to those services on your behalf when you confirm an action.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 and able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@scrubbr.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Connecting your mailbox or Slack workspace

When you authorize Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, or Slack through OAuth, you grant scrubbr.ai permission to access those services to provide the product. You can revoke access at any time from the source provider or by disconnecting in scrubbr.ai.

Messages you send through scrubbr.ai to Slack are sent under your personal user token; they appear in Slack as if you typed them yourself. Messages you send through scrubbr.ai to Gmail are sent from your Gmail account using your authorization.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use scrubbr.ai to violate the law, to send unsolicited bulk messages, to deceive, harass, or threaten, to interfere with the service or others' use of it, or in violation of third-party terms (including Google's Gmail terms and Slack's terms).

5. Fees and billing

Paid plans are charged per seat at the price displayed at checkout. A seat is one person using scrubbr.ai, with the accounts they connect. As of the effective date, plans are $20 per month per seat billed annually or $25 per month per seat billed monthly. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.

New accounts start with a 3-day free trial. No payment card is needed. When the trial ends, you need a paid plan to keep using scrubbr.ai.

We may change pricing on at least 30 days' notice. Changes take effect on your next renewal.

All integrations are included in your plan at no extra cost.

6. Customer data and AI outputs

Your data is yours. The messages, calendar events, contacts, and other content you bring into scrubbr.ai ("customer data") remain your property.

Scrubbr.ai uses customer data only to provide the service to you. Scrubbr.ai does not use customer data to train AI models. Every model request is routed only to providers whose data policies prohibit training on it.

AI outputs (summaries, drafts, priority tiers, embeddings) are generated probabilistically from your data. They may contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before sending it.

7. Privacy and security

Our handling of personal information is described in the privacy notice. Our security posture is described in the trust overview.

8. Service levels and availability

We work to keep scrubbr.ai available, but we do not commit to a specific uptime percentage in these terms. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where practical.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if your account creates a security or abuse risk, or if a payment fails and is not cured. You may cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

After termination, we retain customer data for up to 30 days to allow restoration on request, then delete it, except where retention is required by law.

10. Intellectual property

Scrubbr.ai and our trademarks are owned by scrubbr.ai LLC. Customer data and AI outputs derived from your data are yours.

11. Disclaimers

Scrubbr.ai is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI-generated content is probabilistic; it can be wrong.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, scrubbr.ai's total liability arising out of or related to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) US$100 and (b) the fees you paid scrubbr.ai in the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify scrubbr.ai from third-party claims arising from your customer data or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Except as set out in section 15, the state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Arbitration and class action waiver

Most disputes can be resolved by emailing legal@scrubbr.ai. For any dispute that cannot be resolved informally, you and scrubbr.ai agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its streamlined arbitration rules. You and scrubbr.ai waive the right to participate in a class or representative action. You may opt out of this section by emailing legal@scrubbr.ai with subject "arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms.

16. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and notify active customers by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

17. Miscellaneous

These terms are the entire agreement between you and scrubbr.ai regarding the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or acquirer.
