What does Scrubbr do with Slack?

It reads the channels and direct messages your account can see, ranks what needs you, and drafts replies for you to approve.

  • Ranks and summarizes your Slack messages, and drafts replies for you to approve.
  • Shows a Slack message that needs you next to your email in one list.
  • Posts your replies under your own name. They look the same as a message you typed in Slack.
  • Keeps the thread structure, so a reply fits the conversation.

What does Scrubbr read from Slack, and what does it never do?

What Scrubbr reads

  • Message metadata and message body content from the channels and direct messages your account has access to.
  • Only the channels you are a member of.
  • Links to Slack-hosted files. The file contents are not copied.
  • Your user profile, so your name and avatar show correctly in Scrubbr.

What Scrubbr never does

  • Never uses a bot token. There is no scrubbr-bot installed in your channels.
  • Never asks for bot-token scopes, so it cannot act on its own in your workspace.
  • Nothing is sent to another person without your explicit action: a click, or a voice command you confirm.
  • Never stores file contents. Scrubbr keeps links to Slack-hosted files, not the files.
  • Never trains AI models on your content, and never sells your personal information.
  • Never lets staff read your messages without your approval, except to act on a security incident or a legal obligation.
