The situation
A proposal is mostly gathering
The writing is the short part. Before it, you collect names from one thread, dates from another and what the customer said on a call. Then you put it all in a structure that a busy reader can scan.
A blank page makes this worse. Most people open three apps and copy lines across before they write one sentence.
What you press
Say what the doc is for. Get a draft.
Works in a new page and in a section you are already writing.
-
1. Put the cursor in the doc, hold Option
Say the type of document, who will read it and what it must cover. For example "a one-page proposal for the finance lead".
-
2. Scrubbr gathers what belongs in it
It looks through your email, chats and meeting notes for the people, dates, decisions and open questions behind the doc.
-
3. A structured draft appears
Headings and short sections appear at your cursor, with a clear ask at the end. A doc is longer and more structured than a chat reply.
What it reads
What Scrubbr pulls in for a doc
It only uses the apps you have connected.
| App | What Scrubbr can use it for here |
|---|---|
| Gmail | The thread with the customer or team: who asked for what, and what you promised. |
| Outlook | The same for Outlook mail. |
| Slack | Decisions and status from the project channel. |
| Microsoft Teams | The same for Teams chats and channels. |
| Granola | What was agreed on the calls, with owners and dates. |
| Google Calendar | Meeting dates and who attended. |
Files in Google Drive and pages in Notion are not a source today. Scrubbr writes into them, but does not read them.
Worked example
From a one-line ask to a proposal summary
Alex is in a Notion page called "Halcyon rollout proposal".
In Notion
Halcyon rollout proposal. Summary: empty.
You say
optionWrite the summary for the Halcyon rollout proposal: who, when, the plan, the owners and what we need decided.
Scrubbr finds
Gmail · Marcus’s thread
Slack · #halcyon-deal
Granola · Halcyon IT call
Notion · Halcyon rollout proposal
Summary
Halcyon will roll out Acme to about 500 people in November. Their team decides on Oct 24.
Why now: their sales team lives in Salesforce, and our Salesforce sync has been live since Oct 14, at no extra cost.
Plan: Google sign-in first, then a pilot group of ten, then one team at a time, with training for admins and end users.
Owners: Alex Kim for the rollout, Priya Shah for IT and the security review, Daniel Cho for the budget.
Decision needed: Daniel approves the budget before the Oct 24 decision.
Example only. The people, company and facts are invented.
Tips
Get a draft you can ship
-
Say the doc type and the reader
Try "a one-page proposal for a finance lead" or "a status update for the team". The structure follows from it.
-
Ask for the sections you want
Say "Summary, Plan, Owners, Decision needed" and Scrubbr writes those headings.
-
Write long docs one section at a time
Hold Option again for each section. Each pass can use the context for that part.
Questions
Docs and proposal questions
Does it work in Google Docs and Notion?
Yes. Scrubbr writes at the cursor in any app with a text cursor, such as Google Docs and Notion.
Can Scrubbr read my Google Drive files or Notion pages?
Not today. Scrubbr learns from the eight apps listed on the integrations page. If a doc needs a paragraph from a file, say it or type it in your prompt.
What kinds of documents can it write?
Proposals, project updates, one-pagers, summaries and briefs. It works in any document where you can place a cursor.
Will it make up facts?
Scrubbr takes facts from your connected apps and from what you say. Check names, dates and numbers before you share the doc, as you would for any draft.
Is my data safe in a doc or proposal?
In Notion or Google Docs, Scrubbr reads the text in the field you are in, up to 20,000 characters, and your selection. It reads only for that one turn, and never password fields. The Trust page has the details.
Can I try Scrubbr on a real proposal for free?
Yes. The first 3 days are free with no card, and a card adds 7 more days. After that it costs $15 a month, or $144 a year. See the pricing page.
