Write meeting follow-ups from your notes

The situation

The meeting ends. The follow-up waits.

A good follow-up says what was agreed, who owns what and by when. Your notes hold all of it, but they live in a different app than your inbox. So you copy lines across and rebuild the list by hand.

The longer you wait, the less you remember, and follow-ups slip. The person on the other side is waiting for it in writing.

What you press

Right after the call: one key

Open a new email or a reply to the person you met.

  • 1. Hold Option and say who it is for

Say "Follow up with Priya on today's call." Or click the pencil and type it.

  • 2. Scrubbr reads your meeting notes

It finds the right meeting in Granola, then checks your earlier emails with that person and your calendar for the time and attendees.

  • 3. The follow-up appears with action items

The email lists what you agreed, who owns each step and the dates. Read it and press Send yourself.

Worked example

From call notes to a follow-up in writing

Priya asked for the agreement in writing. Alex writes it right after the call.

In Granola

Halcyon IT call, Oct 22. Sign-in, keeping data, pilot, integrations, next steps.

You say

optionFollow up with Priya on today’s call.

Scrubbr finds

  • Granola · Halcyon IT call
  • Gmail · Priya thread
  • Google Calendar · Halcyon IT call, Oct 22

Gmail · New message

Hi Priya,

Thanks for the call today. Here is what we agreed, in writing as you asked:

  1. Sign-in: Google sign-in, on every plan.
  2. Data: kept 30 days by default, and your admins can set their own window.
  3. Pilot: ten people from IT and sales, with the Salesforce sync on. Full rollout after two weeks if usage looks good.

Action items
Alex: send the sign-in setup guide and data details by Oct 23.
Priya: confirm the test accounts by Oct 24.
Priya: send the pilot names by Oct 27.

Next call: Oct 28 at 2:00 PM.

Best,
Alex

Tips

Send the follow-up while the call is fresh

  • Take your notes in Granola as usual

Scrubbr uses what Granola captured. You do not need to type your notes twice.

  • Say who and what

Try "Send Priya the next steps and the dates." Scrubbr picks the matching parts of the notes.

  • Ask for a short version too

Say "Write a three-line summary for my CEO" in a new message, and Scrubbr writes a shorter version from the same notes.

Questions

Follow-up questions

Which meeting-notes apps does Scrubbr use?

Granola. It is the meeting-notes app Scrubbr reads today. Notes from other tools are not a source. See Granola.

Do I need Granola to write a follow-up?

No. Without notes you can say the points out loud and Scrubbr writes them up. With Granola, it also uses what was said in the meeting.

Can I use the follow-up in Outlook?

Yes. Scrubbr writes in Gmail, Outlook or any app with a text cursor.

Why is my newest meeting missing?

Notes sync from Granola in the background. A call that just ended can take up to a few hours to appear. Try again later.

Is my meeting data safe?

Scrubbr reads your Granola notes and your calendar event details (titles, attendees, times, locations and descriptions) as context. Nothing is sent to another person without your explicit action. See the Trust page.

Is there a free trial for meeting follow-ups?

Yes. Scrubbr is free for 3 days with no card, and 7 more days if you add a card. After that it costs $15 a month, or $144 a year. See the pricing page.
