An AI email assistant that uses your Slack, calendar and notes
Scrubbr is an AI email assistant that reads your Slack, your calendar and your Granola meeting notes, as well as the email thread, before it drafts your reply. Hold Option in the reply box, say one line, and the draft appears at your cursor with the facts from those apps already in it.

The options
The assistants you can pick from, and what each reads
Most AI email assistants start from the inbox, and they differ in what else they read.
The table lists what each tool's own pages say. Where a page does not mention Slack, a calendar or meeting notes, we say "we did not see it". That is not a claim that the tool lacks it.
| Assistant | Where it works | What it reads, per its pages |
|---|---|---|
| Gemini in Gmail | In Gmail, from the compose window and a side panel. | Your emails: its smart reply writes "based on the context of your emails", and a draft can pull in a Drive file you tag with "@". We did not see Slack or meeting notes on that page. |
| Copilot in Outlook | In Outlook, from the Copilot box. | The key points you name in your request. Microsoft's guide to Copilot prompts says a source can be your emails, chats and files, with a work or school account. We did not see a calendar or Slack on the Outlook page. |
| Fyxer | In Gmail or Outlook, inside the inbox you already have open. | Your past emails, to learn how you write. Slack and Teams appear as integrations on its pricing page, and Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar on its home page. We did not see a page that says your drafts use them. It also writes up notes from Google Meet and Teams calls. |
| Superhuman Email Assistant | In Gmail or Outlook. | "Every draft uses your inbox, calendar, and the web", and it learns your voice from the emails you have sent. We did not see Slack or meeting notes on that page. |
| Scrubbr | Any app with a text cursor, including Gmail and Outlook. | Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar and Granola, plus your CRM (HubSpot and Salesforce) and a knowledge base. |
Superhuman also sells Superhuman Go, which connects other apps through "pre-built or custom MCP connectors". That is a separate product from its Email Assistant. Go's page says it works in Slack. We did not see a Granola connector named there.
Fair is fair
When an inbox assistant is the better fit
Scrubbr does not suit every inbox job.
- You want the inbox sorted for you. Fyxer says it "organizes your inbox", and Superhuman's Email Assistant says it sorts incoming messages and reminds you to follow up. Scrubbr is not a separate inbox app. It writes in the inbox you already use.
- You live in Gmail on a Workspace plan. Google says Gemini is included with all Google Workspace subscription plans. If your replies only need the thread and your Drive files, it may be enough.
- You live in Outlook on Microsoft 365. Copilot in Outlook drafts from your request and lets you change tone and length.
- The facts for your reply sit in other apps. The answer is in a Slack thread, the time is on your calendar and the promise is in your call notes. That is the case Scrubbr is built for.
What it reads
What Scrubbr reads before your reply
A good reply needs more than the last message.
| The reply needs | Scrubbr reads |
|---|---|
| The question and the history | The thread in Gmail or Outlook |
| What your team decided | Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat |
| A time that works | Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar |
| What you promised on the call | Granola meeting notes |
| Who the customer is | Your CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) |
| Your terms, prices and policies | Your knowledge base |
You choose which tools to connect. Nothing is searched until you speak a line that needs a fact, and only the pieces that fit the reply are used. While you hold the key, Scrubbr can see which app you are in and which box you are typing in.
Four steps
How a reply comes together
You stay in the email you are already writing.
- Open the reply. Click into the box in Gmail, Outlook or any app with a text cursor.
- Hold Option and say what you mean. "Tell Marcus SSO is on track and move Thursday to Friday" is enough.
- Scrubbr checks your apps. It finds the thread, the Slack update, the free time on your calendar and the note from the call.
- The draft appears. You read it, fix any word you would not use, and send it yourself.
Worked example
From "reply to Marcus" to a draft with the facts in it
Dani runs Pinecrest Scheduling, a 15-person software company, and a customer asks two things in one email. The answers sit in Slack, her calendar and her call notes.
In Gmail
You say
optionreply to Marcus, tell him the SSO work is on track, say Thursday doesn't work for me, offer Friday morning, and keep it short and friendly
Scrubbr finds
Gmail · Marcus Reyes, "SSO and Thursday" (4 messages)
Slack · #eng, Lena Park: "SSO is in testing, ships Wednesday"
Google Calendar · Thursday 2:00 pm busy; Friday free from 9:30 am
Granola · Alder Dental call: "Needs SSO before the 1 December rollout"
Scrubbr writes
Hi Marcus,
SSO is on track. It is in testing now and ships on Wednesday, ahead of your 1 December rollout.
Thursday at 2:00 does not work for me. Could we talk on Friday at 9:30 or 10:00 instead?
Thanks,
Dani

Questions
Questions on AI email assistants
Is there an AI email assistant that uses my Slack, calendar and meeting notes?
Yes. Scrubbr reads Slack, Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and Granola meeting notes, along with the email thread, before it drafts your reply. You choose which of those tools to connect.
What are my options for an AI email assistant?
The common ones are Gemini in Gmail, Copilot in Outlook, Fyxer, Superhuman's Email Assistant and Scrubbr. The first four work from the inbox, and the table above shows what each one's own pages say it reads. Scrubbr writes in any app and reads your chat, calendar and meeting notes as well.
Does Scrubbr only work in Gmail?
No. It works in Gmail, Outlook and any other app with a text cursor, on Mac and on Windows. The same line works in an email, a Slack message or a document.
Does it send the email for me?
Scrubbr writes the draft at your cursor. You read it, change it and send it yourself.
What does Scrubbr cost?
It costs $12 a month on the yearly plan, or $15 a month if you pay monthly. You can try it free for 3 days with no card, and adding a card gives you 7 more days.
